What’s in a name? Plenty if you are referring to the biggest Jeep SUV, which is “grand” in every respect—size, scale, looks and performance. The 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L is an outstanding full-size, three-row SUV that is smooth, quiet and easy-riding. Credit goes to a 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six engine that delivers 420 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 468 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 rpm.
Keeping that might on the road is a short- and long-arm front suspension and a multilink rear setup that smooths out potholes and broken pavement. Need to adjust ride height for changing road or weather conditions? The adaptive air suspension makes it easy. Power reaches the road through a slick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering adds confidence behind the wheel. Bringing the seven-seater to a stop are Brembo disc brakes measuring 14.9 inches up front and 14.8 inches at the rear. Selectable drive modes include Auto, Sport, Rock, Sand/Mud and Snow. And if you need to haul a sailboat or another vehicle, towing capacity reaches an impressive 9,860 pounds when properly equipped.

Up front, the upright fascia displays a new Jeep hood insignia along with the familiar but revised seven-slot grille and an illuminated full-width light bar and animated turn signals. Power-deploying side steps ease entry into the spacious, airy cabin, where the driver and front passenger enjoy cushy 20-way power-adjustable Nappa leather seats with heating, ventilation and massage. The heated second-row captain’s chairs power-tilt and slide, while the third-row seat power folds and reclines. With all three rows in place, cargo space measures 44.2 cubic feet. Fold down the third row and that expands to 88.8 cubic feet. Fold down both rear rows and you get a maximum of 112.9 cubic feet, with plenty of room for luggage, groceries or camping gear.
Other standard amenities include four-zone automatic climate control, a tri-pane panoramic sunroof and a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system.
Starting at $97,310, the Grand Wagoneer L Summit Obsidian pairs generous passenger and cargo space with a powerful, capable drivetrain. In a field dominated by the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban and Ford Expedition, Jeep makes a compelling case for its own take on the full-size luxury SUV.
